Online EdTech platform ‘Bambinos.live’ accumulates $500k in funding from HNIs and Angels.

 Digital Institution Bambinos.live is an online teaching platform for children aged 4 to 15, focusing on the development of every child’s soft skills through various extracurricular activities. Founded in June 2020 by Ashish Gupta & Ankit Hetamsaria, Bambinos offers 40+ courses ranging from Dancing and Crafts to Spoken English and Personality Development. In the past year, their edtech platform had over 15000 children registering for their courses. 

In the wake of the global pandemic, India was under a nationwide lockdown. Schools all around the nation were closed and parents needed a medium for their children to engage in extracurricular activities. Commenting on these new developments, Ashish Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, Bambinos.live, said, “In the last ten months, we've observed a surge in parent’s demand for extracurricular activities for their children. There are currently 15,000+ kids who have registered on our platform, including from India, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Canada, and the Middle East." The general idea was to make genuine courses on soft skill development easily accessible for parents and children for an interactive learning experience from their houses on an online teaching platform.  

Arobit Business Solution’s edtech platform development team curated this idea onto a new website bambinos.live with an easy to navigate user-interface. Each development course has been categorized under a skill-set and subject wise. If parents are unsure about an individual course, there are broader categories according to age groups that automatically recommend courses for children and teenagers. 

Acquiring funding for further expansion

On June 3rd 2021, bambinos.live announced that it had accumulated about $500k in funding from various HNIs and Angels, including Ankit Nagori, Co-founder of Cure.Fit and CEO of Eat.Fit; Neeraj Aggarwal, Co-founder and COO Xto10x; Abhishek Nag (Angel List), Director of Business Development, Netflix India, and family fund of MEL. Commenting on the investment, Neeraj Aggarwal, Co-founder and COO, Xto10x, stated, “I’m very excited to back the Bambinos.live team for building an ecosystem in extracurricular learning. Beyond curriculum, learning is a very large space and is the need of the hour when academic excellence may no longer be enough for a child to succeed. Ashish and Ankit are very experienced operators and are putting the right building blocks to scale this category in edtech.” 

Speaking about the new funding, Ashish Gupta said, "The new funding will enable us to grow our company and add new products and revenue streams. We have built a strong network of educators and content designers, which help us differentiate through our in-class experience." Further, we have built a strong operational control with a high-efficiency model. This keeps our cost low and provides high consistency in customer experience. Our idea is to help a child discover multiple interests outside the school while helping her builds some critical life skills. All our programmes are selected and designed to enhance the learning experience compared to offline," he added.

With the help of this fresh funding, their online teaching platform is targeting to hit revenue of $2 million ARR in the next six months, claims the startup.
